How To Set Up Eshopps Protein Skimmer

Hey, at this point you've probably guessed but anyway I recently just placed my Eshopps nano skimmer in my IM20. The question I have is, anyone know the appropriately water level? I've read everything from have the pump a 1/two" to a ane/iv" under the surface, to having the bubbling to the middle of the cup. The directions from eshopp are generic and say "wet skim cone neck" which isn't all that useful considering the nano doesn't have a cone neck. I placed it having the bubbles halfway up the tube of the cup, resulted in massive amounts of microbubbles. I raised it to the other suggested peak of having the pump 1/ii" below the surface, bubbles are gone but the bubbles within the body simply achieve to about an inch and a half from the the bottom of the loving cup. I should mention the tank is empty.This is more just to break it in and become the correct level. I'thousand not expecting it to skim much of anything. I genuinely can't seem to find a reliable source of information regarding the correct placement of the skimmer in regards to h2o level. Any info would exist appreciated.

This may assistance. At the end it will show y'all about adjusting. At this bespeak though I would not worry about adjusting it other than letting it run for interruption in purposes. Any adjustment you may brand now will change every bit your tank cycles.

Capeesh the comment, a few hours afterward I posted I did just equally the video had it and left it there. Bubbles are already declining in amount and size. It's my beginning fourth dimension with an AIO. Previous tanks had in-stand sumps so I wasn't certain how to treat a skimmer like the nano that just clamps onto the side heh. Again, thanks for the aid!

Been working smashing. Microbubbles did take a lot longer to get away than most skimmers but it's been polish sailing since and it pulls everything out. It'south great.
